I've been sold on this technology since I saw some of the preproduction units about seven years ago - energy efficient infrared heat, which puts the heat directly where you want it, while leaving the surface of the unit cool to the touch, making it perfect for those with pets or small children.

Knowing the technology was great, we went looking for a quality product to sell - and couldn't find one. In fact, over the next several years, we tested a half dozen brands, and chose to not offer any of them for sale because the ones we looked at were - quite honestly - junk.
